Workshopdescription:
With the wings of our imagination, we set out to find extraterrestrials. As part of the school project week, we will embark on a journey in which we will explore together the possibilities of the extraterrestrial: What do they look like? How do they communicate? How do they behave? Where do they come from? What technologies and devices do they have?
We approach these questions with the help of storytelling, drawing, sculpture & performance. Our goal at the end of the week is to create our own universe that shows a previously unknown diversity of extraterrestrials. The unknown that we have found and invented on our journey will be made known to earthly visitors & parents in an exhibition at the end.
Artistic approaches such as exploring the foreign and unknown, drawing on the imagination, pooling poetic forces, decontextualising and alienating are practices that can be tested here in dealing with aliens.
