Apollo 11 (Edition unread package insert) is a project using the computer to step once more into territory unknown to human beings. The mission was completed in 2019, the 50 years anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing on the moon, where the computer was instrumental in enabling the astronauts
for humans first step on the moon.
Today, 50 years later, the computer serves more than ever to generate new concepts and to advance into new spheres. In this project, the components of the commercially available scale-modelling set of Apollo 11 (Columbia & Eagle) were entered into a computer. Using a machine learning algorithm, the computer created five different ways to assemble the model. These five models were all assembled far
away from the instructions of the package insert coming along with the scale-modelling set and thus show a push into new dimensions previously untouched by human hands.
